What Causes Golden Spots On The Hands And Legs?

I am getting more spots on hands, arms, legs, etc. Some would say they are liver spots but there are so many so quickly. On my legs they are somewhat indented I am fair skinned but the spots are beige or kinda gold, not brown. Is there anyway I can stop the progression or eliminate these

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

Age spots are caused by overactive pigment cells. Ultraviolet (UV) light accelerates the production of melanin.

On the areas of skin that have had years of frequent and prolonged sun exposure, age spots appear when melanin becomes "clumped" or is produced in high concentrations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Esmeralda Sera, Oncologist
