What Causes Gout And Arthritis While Suffering From Chronic Joint Pain?

My husband is and has been suffering from chronic joint pain. (15 years). He has been tested for gout and arthritis, both of which have been inconclusive. He has high blood pressure also. My fear is that he has late stages of lime disease. To which he has never been tested for.At the present he can not bend one of his knees, and has been in pain for several weeks. And like some men...has not seen a doctor. How do I go about getting a lime disease test.

Hello,

Lyme can cause arthritis in late stages. The arthritis appear in different joints more preferably in knees. He should get tested for Lyme taking count that arthritis and gout tests were not conclusive. I think you can discuss it with a rheumatologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
