Hello,

I can understand your concern. It seems that while going through the piercing procedure, one of the vein un der your tongue has been hurt and has created a hematoma.

If you are not having swelling, fever, pus discharge or any other discomforting symptom, then you can wait for about a weak for the hematoma to resolve on its own. However, if you develop any such symptom, you should go to a physician and might need to get the ornament removed.

For pain right now, you can apply ice over the sore area and can take analgesic such as Ibuprofen 400 mg or Acetaminophen 500 mg up to three times a day.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
