Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what your husband had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, the color may be due to drugs or due to bacterial overgrowth or blood loss in stool. In any case a stool analysis should be done. Calprotectin level in stool as well as work up like colonoscopy should be done to rule out IBD etc. Meanwhile mebeveramine can be helpful for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Regards,
