What Causes Green Mucus In Nasal Tract Post Septoplasty?

Hi I had a septoplasty the other day and touched the inside of my nose a lot with my fingers which was a bad idea. Last night I was hucking up blood and also bright green mucus. I still have some bright green mucus in my nasal tract. I am seeing my surgeon tomorrow, is this a concern?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello thank you for writing us here.
It could be a bacterial infection most probably is its associated with fever and pain.
Also other infections like fungal are common. Don't touch your nose okay? Your surgeon would guide you and treat you. You can take paracetamol for fever and pain.
Rest your surgeon would manage for you.

Best regards,
Dr Gunjan
