What Causes Greenish Discharge From The Nose?

Three days ago, I had heavy green discharge while blowing my nose Two days ago, it became orange Yesterday less orange and last night runny liquid and orange Today the left side seems to be leaking liquid more clear but a tinge of yellow. I have never had this before, orange then this clearish type liquid, did I perforate something?

Hi,

Greenish and changing color of nasal discharge indicates that there is a bacterial infection in nose or in sinuses. Consult your Doctor, preferably an ENT Surgeon for clinical evaluation, examination, ENT Endoscopy and investigations of blood, CT scan of nose and sinuses.

This will give a proper diagnosis and a plan of an appropriate management which may be in the form of an antibiotic, nasal and oral decongestant and an anti-inflammatory medicines. If the CT scan shows sinusitis then you may need additional treatment as per the cause found and also may need surgery if medical management fails.
