What Causes Grinding Sensation In Neck On Movement Post An Injury?

I was in a car accident two weeks ago. I had pain in my neck along with loss of mobility in my neck. I have been in physical therapy and the pain in the muscles of my neck are gone but I still have tenderness on the actual bone of my spine as well as a grinding sensation when I turn my head from left, right, up and down. What could cause the grinding?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, because of the soft tissue inflammation such symptoms are very likely if this is not being tested then better to get done some imaging study and if this is unremarkable then this is nothing to worry, and with the time it will be fine, hope this helps take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
