What Causes Haematospermia?
What causes blood in semen? I have been to a urologist and he said it is nothing to worry about and nothing can be done for it. Is this true? This comes and goes and for me it seems to happen when stress levels are high. My family has a history of prostate cancer. I have my check ups and blood work done yearly.

Hematospermia is usually caused by inflammation (commonly infection) of the prostate or seminal vesicles.
In old age, it may be due to prostatic cancer. However, it may be idiopathic(without any obvious cause) and a benign condition. Genito-urinary tuberculosis needs to be ruled out.
