Hello sir, im using melacare cream since 6months..previously it worked really good. My face s colortone was so unevn den d body but after using melacare it became fair. But in some days d hair ovr my face became so visible so i went for face waxing but aftr that..it started workng in a opposite way. It is depressing me due to the over hair growth on my face and chin and redness over it. I need a better suggestion if i stop using it can i replace it with any other skin friendly cream.
The creams that you have been using is a triple drug combination of a steroid+tretinoin+hydroquinone. Dermatologist's commonly prescribe them for facial hyperpigmentation/melasma.
It is not meant for regular use and should never be used without a dermatologist's advice and in any case not for more than 2-3 months since the steroid content of this cream can cause various side effects like acne, photosensitivity, skin thinning and telangiectasia and facial hair growth (hirsutism) which is specially troublesome in females.. This is exactly what has happened in your case.
You should definitely stop using it any further.
Since your skin has become extremely sensitive and would become red on sun exposure, moisturizing it would allow it to return back to the original state. I would suggest that you use a broad spectrum sunscreen, throughout the day and a non-comedogenic moisturizer for night time use.
