What Causes Hair Loss And Bald Spots When In Menopause?
I am a 54 year old female and I started my menopause when I was 48 years old. I have no health problems. The only surgeries I had was tonsils, appendix, and gall bladder. But, I have noticed that I am losing my hair and getting some bald spots. I do have long, fine hair. Someone told me that it is my hormones making me lose my hair. Do you have any suggestions to help with this problem?
You seem to suffer from telogen effluvium. There are so many causes of telogen effluvium. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. After thorough examination and investigations, your doctor would give perfect treatment.
I would recommend...
- Tab biotin 10 mg daily - Cap vitamin E 400 mg daily - hematinics .. if there is low Hb - minerals - antidandruff shampoo.. if there is dandruff - minoxidil 2% solution application
Hope this helps.
