What Causes Hair Loss And White Patches On Lower Legs?

I have ulcerative colitis for 15 years and have been taking Remicade for 8 years and have been switched to Apriso in the last 6 months. Currently experiencing hair loss and white patches on my lower legs? Ever heard of this? Could it be from drugs?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello, it is highly unlikely that the white patches are due to drugs. I would like to know whether the patches are completely white or just lighter than the normal skin..
If completely white as told by you, it may be vitiligo, which can occur in association with ulcerative colitis.
Loss of hair, yes, can be due to drugs or the chronic disease per say.
I would adv you to visit a dermatologist for evaluation and appropriate management accordingly.
Thanks
Take care
