What Causes Hair Loss, Break Outs On The Face And Intense Joint Pain?
Hi, I have a cyclical condition. It starts with hair loss, then my face breaks out, I often feel hot and feverish but do not have a fever, then I get extreme muscle and joint pain with some swelling around old injuries. I also have fatigue and memory loss or confusion. An upset stomach also accompanies these symptoms. It lasts for a months and I can barely function, then over time the symptoms get better but never go away entirely. This has been going on for about a decade. It seems to be getting worse as I age. I am 50, am post menopausal and had Lyme disease as a young woman. I am also an epileptic but no longer suffer from seizures although I still have an aura once in a while. I have has migraines off and on most of my life and bad headaches also accompany this condition...any ideas??
Well, effective treatments for some types of hair loss are available. But some hair loss is permanent. If your hair loss is caused by an underlying disease, treatment for that disease will be necessary. This may include drugs to reduce inflammation and suppress your immune system, such as prednisone. But also, 2 medications are used for treatment and include minoxidil and Finasteride. If there is no success with these then hair transplant or restoration surgery can make the most of the hair you have left.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
