What Causes Hallucination While On Eliquis And Amiodarone?

I m a 90 year old male in significantly fit condition for my age. About 2 wks ago I had a bit upper valve arrhythmia and have since that time I ve had a few hallucinations at night while asleep . Is there some relationship between taking eliquis and amioderon and having my problem?

Yes, amiodarone can cause psychiatric illness like hallucinations, delusions, anxiety, stress, depression etc.
And all these are more common in old age especially after the age of 80 years.
So better to discuss about starting another drug instead of amiodarone with your doctor.
If you still get hallucinations even after replacing amiodarone then consult psychiatrist as old age can itself cause hallucinations.
Then you will need counselling and anti psychotic drugs.
Don't worry, you will be alright. Consult your doctor and discuss all these.
