What Causes Hallucinations And Double Vision After Taking Ativan?

Hi my husband was given 4mg of Ativan he was clostrophobic and needed to take a body scan. He took pills st 10:30am he was saying his son was in room and gave him phone and his mother told him everything is going to be ok his mother is dead he did say I know she is dead but she spoke to me he is seeing double and unsteady on his feet. Called his doctor said bad reaction he should be ok after he sleeps he still is nit so good. What should I do

Hi,

Ativan as with many other psychotic drugs can cause similar side effects especially on the initial days of usage.

If the symptoms are severe you can consult your psychiatrist and ask for alternatives.
