What Causes Hard Lump And Swelling At The Site Of Pimple?
Hi, a few days ago (saturday) I squeezed a pimple on my cheek and felt it pop, but underneath the skin (I know, I should have known better). Sunday the pimple was redder, but about the same size. Sunday night some pus oozed out. I woke up this morning and there was a hard lump near the pimple under the skin, my cheek is moderately swollen and painful. It seems like I have ruptured the pimple and maybe the pus is now in the surrounding tissue, causing it to be hard and swollen. What should I do?
Hi, It seems that due to squeezing the pimple there might be having aggravating spreading infection producing local induration, swelling and pain. Never go for squeezing or pricking of any type of pimple or boil. now you might require one course of antibiotic medicine course for 3-5 days to control infection. clean the part gently and apply antibiotic cream. Ok and take care.
