What Causes Hard Lump On Arms After Injecting Meth?
I had a friend inject meth for the first time ever two Weeks ago and now I have a hard lump on my inner arm by elbow the size of golfball. Its not abbessed, I don't think bc it isn't red or hot but it is sore. Especially when o straighten out my arm. I'm scared and don't have insurance. I don't have a temp and I feel healthy.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....
As per your complain it seems that there has been trauma to the soft tissues while injecting meth as well as there can be pierced blood vessel leading to accumulation of blood into the soft tissues leading to hematoma formation.. I would suggest you to do alternate warm and cool compresses over the are of swelling.. You can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen. You can apply anaesthetic gel like Lignocaine gel for relieving pain.. You can also apply heparin gel over the lump for faster disintegration of hematoma.. In case if still there is no improvement in a week consult a general physician and get evaluated.
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
