What Causes Hard Painful Lump Below The Ear Lobe?
I have a lump under my left ear going down to under my jaw. It s is about the size of an egg, hard and painful. My doctor put my in 500mg kefelex 4 time a day. Today is my 2nd day and I have not noticed any change yet. When will I start seeing results and the swelling to start going down.

If the swelling is size of egg then this could be formation of abscess and clinical complain and examination would be enough to come on clinical diagnosis else such lesion needs some investigation for differential diagnosis, and that may include imaging studies, and routine blood test, hope this information helps, take care.
