General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

They have tried to communicate that due to fluid collection in lungs alveoli or air sacs, it's hard to open them up, or due to layer of fluid on surfactant, the lungs get stiff and elastic recoil or ability to open and close with breathing becomes difficult. They might be trying non invasive ventilation which they call as pumping oxygen into it with high pressure. She might need to be put on ventilatory support if these measure fail and oxygen saturation starts to drop inside blood.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
