What Causes Head Pressure Along With Sore Throat And Unusual Smell In Nose?

I was really sick in may. i did not go to the doctor right away, i thought the illness would work itself out, but my face was completely congested, i had pressure in my head, ears, and neck, and a sore throat for a few days. that lasted for about three weeks, and finally i started to feel better although it took about five weeks to feel completely well. i couldn t smell anything for a while, and when i finally got my sense of smell back i could only smell a weird burnt toast or sulfur smell. when i finally went to the doctor he put me on antibiotic thinking i still had a left over infection but it didn t help. what else could it be?
