What Causes Headache After A Cortisone Injection?

I received a cortisone injection in both ankles yesterday around 4pm. I have a headache and face is very flushed and warm today. I had same injections in both feet in March with no issues. Could this headache and flushing be from the recent injections. Thank you, Rita Lynn YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

A headache and facial flushing are not due to the cortisone injection. Other possible causes like sinusitis need to be considered given your symptoms.

Through clinical/ENT examination is required at this point. Please follow up with your primary provider for necessary evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Lekshmi Rita Venugopal, General & Family Physician
