What Causes Headache After Smoking Marijuana?

Hi, smoked Marijuana socially over many years and daily for four years before giving up three weeks ago. Have tender neck, right side which comes and goes and pain in shoulders again that comes and goes, often more at night. Also some headaches. Had discomfort in right lung while smoking but this has pretty much abated now. Was having a lot of acid reflux but this also is not occurring much now. Hoping the shoulder and neck pain will go over time. I am 1.95m tall, 100kg and 52 years of age. Your thoughts? Thank you.

Hello,

Before to leave the culprit to marijuana use, occasional headaches and pain in shoulders with tender neck, cervical spine issues such as spondylosis, degenerative changes, should be considered and evaluated further.

Cervical spine conditions should be evaluated by medical examination and by imaging studies such as x-rays and MRI in order to get a correct understanding.

In my opinion, it is necessary to discuss with your doctor for a further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
