What Causes Headache Along With Body Ache And Chills?

We live in central Florida and the mosquitoes have been terrible since Hurricane Irma came through. Unfortunately, they bite my 13 year old son more than others in the house. He has been complaining about a headache, he says in his forehead area, since yesterday and last night the chills and body aches started and his temperature elevated a little. He normally runs a temp about 97 when he s not sick. Temp tonight has gone up to 100.8, with Tylenol it s about 99.4. How do I tell the difference between an illness, like a cold or the flu, and an illness or disease passed from mosquitoes? And if it is possible that it s something from mosquito, wouldn t I have heard of an outbreak in my area?
