What Causes Headache Along With Earache And Sore Throat?

My 12 y.o. daughter has headache in her forehead, earache in both ears (more constant in one and more sharp in the other), sore throat, congested nose, muscle aches in back of neck and shoulders, sensitivity to light and smells, and fatigue. The congestion and sore throat started Friday, headache started Saturday, and she stayed home from school Monday and Tuesday. She went to the doctor yesterday (Tuesday) and was negative for strep. Sensitivity to light and smells started a little while ago. NO FEVER.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The symptoms what your daughter has been experiencing appears that she could be having inflammation of pharynx and nasal congestion.
Kindly do the following to overcome them.
1. Salt water gargling with warm water thrice a day.
2. Take steam inhalation twice daily to liquefy the mucous for easy drainage.
3. Take mucolytic-decongestant medications in the form of syrup containing Ambroxol/Bromhexine, Guaifenesin and Chlorpheniramine maleate as ingredients.
4. Take anti-inflammatory medication Tablet. Ibuprofen after food.
5. Take medicated lozenges for throat soothening effect when necessary.
Strictly avoid consumption of cold items like cold drinks and ice cream.
Her symptoms should get better by adopting to above measures as it would help to relieve congestion and inflammation.
