What Causes Headache Along With Itchy Bump?

Hi, I have a question. My boyfriend and I just came from our Costa Rica vacation last Thursday. Last Sunday, he complained of itchy bump and a day after i developed the same signs and symptom together with headache. Now he is complaining of headache as well. What is this? Thanks.
