What Causes Headache Along With Numbness From Face To The Neck?

I am a male, age 31 with diabetes. I woke up with a headache this morning, now resolved. Along with this I have kinked neck with facial numbness starting in the left cheek radiating to right and up the right side of the neck. Should I go into the ER right away? Last blood sugar was 140 this am. Blood sugar right now is 166.

Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a neuropathic disorder which is very common in diabetic patients. I recommend using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest to consult a neurologist for further evaluation.
