What Causes Headache And Back Pain While On Mirena IUD?

Hi, im bobbie im 21 and I ve had the mirena iud for four years now and I ve expirenced constant headaches and lower back pain and unbearable cramps, im scheduled to have it removed but im desperate for answers and to be reassured that im making the right decision to have it removed. could all my symptoms possibly be coming from my birth control method?

Hello.
The symptoms you have described can occur with progestogen which is present in MIRENA.
The symptoms will be relieved after removal of MIRENA.
However for back pain you will need some evaluation.
