Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Headache And Blurry Vision While On Effexor And Clonazepam?
I have recently been through a huge anxiety-depression. They put me on effexor-then upped it to 225 mg. they also tried me on clonaxepam at night. I was taking about 3/4 of a pil and two days ago took half a pill (1 mg). The last two nights I have taken ambien instead to sleep. But the last few days, I have been having headaches and my eyes have lost a little vision and they hurt -feel like they have pressure. I also have to take gabapetin and naprozen for a back ache for a back injury. What could be causing the headaches? Effexor? Clonaxepam? (PS-my aunt had glaucoma so I do worry about eye pressure)
Restriction of vision fields and headaches should be evaluated further, because these signs may point to brain conditions such lesions compressing visual pathways (pituitary adenoma for example).
There is a need for visual fields charts, a neurological examination and most likely brain MRI in order to get a correct understanding of your condition.
You should discuss with your primary care Doctor about further evaluation and needed examinations.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
