General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Headaches and breathlessness can be symptoms of thyroid disorders, including Hashimoto's thyroiditis. When the thyroid gland is not functioning properly, it can affect the body's metabolism and lead to a range of symptoms, including fatigue, weight gain, and changes in blood pressure.

It is possible that your thyroid medication needs to be adjusted or that you may need additional treatment for your Hashimoto's thyroiditis. It is also possible that your symptoms are related to other underlying health conditions, such as high blood pressure or heart disease, which may require separate evaluation and treatment.

I recommend that you schedule an appointment with your healthcare provider to discuss your symptoms and undergo a comprehensive evaluation. They may recommend additional testing or referral to a specialist, depending on the results of your evaluation. It is important to address these symptoms promptly, as they can significantly impact your quality of life and overall health.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. H. Kay, General & Family Physician
