What Causes Headache And Choking Sensation In Esophagus?

I woke up with a headache this morning, which has gotten worse this afternoon, despite 3 tylenol.I could not finish my lunch because I felt stuffed. I can t swallow anything more (it s been over an hour since I ate) and feel like my food is stuck in my esophagus and like I am going to throw up. Could there be any correlation between the two?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

It can happen when a headache is present, I would also recommend drinking plenty of water, take any antacid you have at home, avoid more medications, avoid alcohol, smoking, tea, coffee, spicy/fried/fatty/oily food. Give it some time and you should be fine, and in the future do not take pain management medication on an empty stomach and especially not so many all at once.

Best wishes.
