What Causes Headache And Depression After Having Epidural Injections?
I had epidural injections for 7 months after I told the md I was allergic to prednisone from a previous experience with steroids I wasn t aware that the injections had steroids. Now I m extremely depressed, headaches, irritable, and had suicidal thoughts. How long will I feel like this and how long will the steroids remain in my system? Will it be permanent this time? I took antidepressants the first time this happen but it made my prednisone psychosis worse, I fully recovered the 1st time but I took the injections way longer than then prednisone can this cause me permanent depression this time?

As per my clinical experience, the headache can present for a varying period of say 2-3 days after the epidural puncture but vanish after the sealing of the puncture.
The depression is purely psychological and no pathological consequences relevant to the same.
In this instance, behaviour therapy with counselling sessions by an expert psychologist helps great rather than antidepressants.
