What Causes Headache And Dizziness After Taking Cipro?
My doctor prescribed Cipro for me on Thursday. First time I ve ever taken this. Have had severe intestinal problems for several years. Noticed yesterday that I didn t feel right. It s worse today. Headache, dizzy, somewhat nauseous, and fuzzy . Am also on Metronidazol, but, it has never made me feel like this when taken before. Maybe a little nauseous but that s all. Am ready to stop the Cipro.
As you suspect, Ciprofloxacin can cause the side effects you described, including a headache, dizziness, and nausea. While these side effects wouldn't be dangerous, if you can't tolerate them, I would suggest telling your doctor and see if it can be replaced with another antibiotic, which would depend on what your doctor was treating you for.
I wouldn't stop taking it without talking with your doctor first because this may lead to the infection getting worse without a replacement antibiotic.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch,
