General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for your query on HCM

"As"per your clinical history is concerned please follow like this -

Please discuss with your treating Doctor about iron and vitamin B 12 weekly injections and add potassium chloride to your diet regularly.

Do take few preventive steps like this -

1)Take Iron-rich foods which include meats, beans, lentils, iron-fortified cereals, dark green leafy vegetables, and dried fruit.

2)Take folic acid, which can be found in citrus fruits and juices, bananas, dark green leafy vegetables, legumes, and fortified breads, cereals and pasta.

3)Take Vitamin B-12 and this vitamin is found naturally in meat and dairy products. It's also added to some cereals and soy products, such as soy milk.

4)Take foods containing vitamin C such as citrus fruits, melons and berries which help increase iron absorption.

5)You can take [Avocado, Acorn squash, Spinach, Sweet potato, Wild-caught salmon, Dried apricots, Pomegranate, Coconut water, White beans, Banana etc] for potassium.

Hope that helps
