What Causes Headache And Ear Pain While Swallowing?

Several days now, symptoms show up late afternoon, headache, ear pain, pain in/below ear worsens when swallowing (along eustachian tube?) while neck is bent to that side. Advil helps me sleep, not really noticeable in morning, worsens again in late afternoon. Is this an ear infection? Ride it out or visit clinic?
