What Causes Headache And Intense Lower Back Pain During Pregnancy?
I am 31 weeks and 2 days pregnant with my third child. I have been having excessive amounts (1-2 thin pads daily) of slimy white discharge for about 3 weeks now. It got increasingly worse after a battle with kidney stones which were eventually passed. In addition to that, I have been having very intense Braxton-Hicks contractions (since they are not becoming more frequent I am making the assumption they are Braxton Hicks), to the point my stomach is hard as a rock and I cannot move to switch positions without feeling like I am ripping in half. Only times eases the pain of contractions. I have had headaches, been very nauseous, and also had very intense lower back pain. Usually this did not occur for a few more weeks with my other pregnancies, should I be concerned? Or is this normal?
All pain and contractions reported earlier than when term/labor contractions are expected are to be reported to your doctor. The cause could be hormone related, as you have also reported headaches which could also be associated with hormones and so I would strongly recommend a doctors visit at your earliest convenience. A hormonal drop could result in various complications, so do not delay further.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
