What Causes Headache And Pressure In The Chest After Taking Advil?
I just took two normal Advil for menstural cramps, with out water. The cramps have stopped but in the middle of my chest (feels slightly below my sturnum) is an uncomfortable burning sensation, which is causing a headache. It hurt a lot so I drank water and ate some grapes, some carrots, and a banana. It s now hurting less but comes in flashes, with little pain to intense (not unbearable but certainly disconcerting) pain. Any explanations or ways I could get the pain to stop? (Note, it does feel like I m producing more saliva as well.)
It can be due to Advil as it can trigger acidity in stomach or lead to gastritis. Usually it's not the case with first few doses but if pre-existing gastritis or ulcer disease is present it may get flared up. Using antacids like Omerperazole before meals may help.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Wishing you a speedy recovery.
