What Causes Headache And Temporary Loss Of Consciousness?
My partner had an MRI 3/11/15 and the findings show there is a 3 mm T1 Hypointense, T2 hyperintense, nonenhancing lesion within the posterior aspect of the pituitary gland just to the left of midline and just posterior to the infundibulum. Its coming up on the one year since this and she has no health insurance. We discovered this because she has have discharge from her breast and went to a doctor. Her Prolactin level is high as if she should be pregnant but isn t. She is having headaches daily and lasting longer and longer each day and not just that but she is sleeping more. She has been blacking out while standing up and just walking to the bathroom from bed. most recently she is blacking out just laying in bed watching TV. Please let me know what we can do until she can see a doctor at a low income clinic in our town. And help me understand what is going on up in her head from a medical stand point!!! PLease HELP
Lesion in pituitary gland along with high prolactin is suggestive of prolactinoma. I suggest you to consult your neurosurgeon for clinical assessment and thus management. Management depends on the size of growth in pituitary gland.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

Dr. Shailja Puri
