What Causes Headache And Throat Irritation While Smoking Medical Marijuana?

I used to smoke medical marijuana I been smoking for 6 yrs but lately I found my self with dry moutj since I stopped smoking, I been having sweats... headaches and hard time swallowing own saliva.... I have no pain to swallow but since I'm constantly swallowing and spitting mucus my throat is irritated...can all of this be cause of me trying to detox or can it be GERD? Food does not stay stuck... just a little nothing major but I'm paranoid and I feel my anxiety may be making it worse.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms seems to be due to withdrawal symptoms of Marijuana and the dry mouth seems to be due to anxiety and stress while smoking is another potent cause of dry mouth, although you have stopped smoking now but the dry mouth will not be resolve so soon..
You should not worry as there looks nothing serious other than the withdrawal symptoms..
You should in no conditions start smoking again as gradually the withdrawal symptoms will become better..
You should limit the intake of tea and coffee as it can worsen the symptoms..
Keep yourself engaged in the activities of your choice and also keep yourself engaged with family and friends as it will deviate your mind and you will feel better..
Avoid staying alone as it can worsen the symptoms..
Do moderate exercise and take a healthy and nutritious diet..
You should drink plenty of water..
Chew sugar free chewing gums as it will reduce the urge to smoke as well as stimulate saliva flow..
Do meditation and breathing exercises as it can help in relieving headache as well as reduce the severity of the symptoms by stabilizing your mind..

Hope this information helps.

Thanks and regards.
