What Causes Headache And Tinnitus?

For the past 6 years I ve had daily headaches of varying intensity. They don t feel like normal headaches, and when they re at their worst, I get a creaking noise and sensation in my ears and feel pressure on the sides of my head and face. I had terrible allergies when I was younger but stopped around 4 years ago.

Hi,

While you do not provide much information on the characteristics of the headache judging from their long-standing nature and pressure feeling they would be most likely in the setting of tension-type headache. I would suggest Ibuprofen for the pain and preventive medication with amitriptyline (though some more details about your age and other conditions would be necessary in order to consider its prescription).

If you also have nasal congestion and discharge then chronic sinusitis should also be considered and an ENT consult recommended.
