I have an extremely awful pounding headache! It came on while I was doin legs in the gym! I threw up due to the workout and while throwing up, something almost felt like a pop in my head on the left side near the middle! Since then nearly two weeks ago the head ache hasn t left! If I m laying down and get up I feel it, if I m sitting up and bring my chin to my chest I feel it! Its like an extreme pressure on the left side!
Headaches could be of anything unless proven otherwise. This must be a warning leak from a ruptured aneurysm. The headache and vomiting are signs of increased intracranial pressure. The pain, while you put your chin to your chest, is actually a nape pain coming from chemical meningitis due to subarachnoid haemorrhage. It would be helpful if you do at least an MRI with GRE at this point and if there is any clue that an aneurysm has ruptured, then a $ vessel angiography is warranted. Meanwhile, while contemplating on everything, you can at least have an Ibuprofen for your headache taken every 6-8 hours and this will help alleviate the pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
