What Causes Headache And Weakness?

Hi, I am having a headache for 2-3 days and weakness. I had a throat infection a few days back. Earlier I was taking homeopathic for the same. No pain in the forehead but on the top of my head. More intense when i am in AC or under a fan. Please suggest some medicine.

I can understand your concern. Headache with generalised weakness along with throat infection, more in cold condition could be due to
: Viral fever prodromal symptoms - It means symptoms like headache, body ache, generalised weakness, decreased appetite along with fever.

It usually subsides after relief in fever. For relief, you can take Paracetamol for fever after proper prescription. Increase fluid intake to relieve effects of fever. Take bed rest. Viral fever usually subsides on its own in 5 - 7 days. If no relief, you can consult doctor.

: Headache due to upper respiratory tract infection (URI) - Headache occurs in case of sinusitis, throat infection, ear infection. It is usually dull aching type, more in forehead and below eyes, heaviness of head, more in daytime/cold environment, relief with warm or hot food or fluids.

For relief, you can take steam inhalation four times daily, tablet Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription, antibiotic therapy like co-amoxyclav after prescription. You should consult doctor for further management.
