My daughter has still got a headache & a temperature from this morning, the headache is at the top of her head & is more painful when she moves. I ve taken her to the A & E department but they gave her painkillers & sent her home. I m worried, do you have any idea what it might be please?
In a child, headaches are often associated with ear infections or viral invasions. If they did not look in her ears then, I would suggest she be taken to a pediatrician to have her ears checked.
If they did look in the ears and were not impressed then, my guess is that her headache is either due to some type of nonspecific viral infection somewhere in her or she is developing signs and symptoms of some form of PRIMARY HEADACHE problems such as stress, migraine, or other type.
If they gave you "painkillers" please do not OVERUSE them since by using more than 15 doses per month (any type of drug virtually) your daughter may be at risk for something called MEDICATION OVERUSE HEADACHE (MOH).
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
