What Causes Headache In The Morning?

I get headaches lower, middle and top of my head occasionally when I am in bed but always first thing in the morning, mainly when I am in my bathroom, bathing makeup etc, they normally stop by lunch. It feels as if my hair is being held back tight, about two months now.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headache in the morning. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like cluster, migraine , tension-type headaches , withdrawal effects from pain medications, ergots and caffeine often produce this pattern. I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with taking history . Doctor may prescribe betablockers , frusamide along with vasogaine .For now avoid caffeine product , do mind relaxing exercises like meditation and yoga .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
