What Causes Headache, Nausea And Dizziness After Alcohol Consumption?

Hi, my son who is 23 has been having some symptoms since last Wednesday and is concerned about what it could be. He did go out that night and had a few cocktails. Since then he has had a daily headache, nausea after eating, some dizziness. He has not had caffeine since then so wondered if the headache could be from that. Also has quite a bit of burping too. Not any severe stomach pain, but low grade nausea. Any thoughts? Thank you for your consideration. Also of note, he was told by several other people who were out that night that they felt sick too... he did not have any food though, just drinks.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headache, nausea and dizziness after alcohol consumption. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like dehydration , hypoglycemia or allergic reaction to alcohol . I would suggest you to drink plenty of water with lemon in it as it contain vitamin C good for nauseatic person , eat carbohydrates , take benadryl twice a day and take proper rest .Also take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . If condition doesn't get well then consult general practitioner for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe antiemetic drug an vitamin supplement .
