What Causes Headache, Painful Palate, Cheekbones And Jaw?

hi there, three days ago I woke up with an extreme pain in the roof of my mouth, but do not have any sites or anything like that. later on in the day, the soreness in the roof of my mouth was accompanied and terrible headache, and aching pains in my cheekbones and jaw. today, the back of the roof of my mouth still hurts very bad, but the front part feels almost numb. my intense headache remains, cheekbones still ache, and my whole mouth (gum line, teeth, etc) ache terribly. please help!! Ibuprofen only makes the pain lessen for a couple hour and I have found no relief. what could possibly be happening!??

Hi,

As per your complain pain in roof of mouth along with headache and pain in cheek bones seems to be probably due to infection in the sinuses causing the following symptoms. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS view x-ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly. As of now, continue taking Ibuprofen and along with it you can also take higher painkillers like TRAMADOL if pain is severe.
