Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Headache, Sensitive Skin And Sore Throat After Inhaling Helmsman Spar Urethane?
I inhaled minwax spar urethane aerosol and think it contacted my skin and even eyes during a home project this last weekend. (3 spray cans worth). My head still aches and my skin feels sensitive all over. My left eye also aches. My throat is slightly soar but not too bad. These sensations get more and less intense throughout the day and seem worst when going to bed. I don t have any trouble breathing, but the aches and skin sensitivity are quite concerning. The skin especially as it makes it hard to sleep. Will these conditions all pass with more time?
Headache, sore throat, skin sensitivity, and eye discomfort can occur in contact with some chemicals, in most persons, if the contact is minor, the symptoms decrease on their own within a few days.
If your symptoms are increasing, then it would be best for you to be seen and assessed by your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
