Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Headache, Stiffness In The Neck, Blurred Vision And Dizziness?
I have been suffering from recurring disabling headaches along with stiff neck and upper back / sholders, blurry vision, dizziness, tintinitus, eye pain and slight confusion for the past 3 years. I have been treated for tension headache, ear infection, sinus infection, even had a spinal tap to see if I had meningitis... nothing has helped.these symptoms start with the tintinitus and then all fallow shortly after... they will last for a month or so and then all of the sudden go away for a while but they will surely come back. I have 2 children and do not have the time to be out of commission with these symptoms. PLEASE HELP!
Your symptoms are suggestive of migraine headache. There are a different type of headaches but based on your description, it seems that you are most likely suffering from migraine headache.
You need to start prophylactic antimigraine therapy if you are having frequent episodes.
There are also abortive therapies that you can take when you feel like you are about to have the next episode. Also, try to find out triggers for your migraine headache and try to avoid them.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saralkumar R. Desai, General & Family Physician
