What Causes Headache, Sweating Along With Feeling Of Cold And Fever?
Hi there! I got a headache, heavy one, in my forehead area. It makes my eyes hurt too. Really hard to concentrate my vision, and it s big problem because I am a student. My friend suggested that this kind of pain on the top area of head can be because of high blood pressure. My blood pressure is usually low, so I drink 1 cup of coffee a day. So I stopped doing it for the past few days, but I am still having the headache. Also I feel fewerish, only my head though, hands and feet are cold. A little higher level of sweating that usual. Otherwise no other indicators of sickness. What can this be? Thank you!
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. The problems what you are describing states that you are having infection of nasal sinus called 'sinusitis'. Kindly take the following measures to overcome it. 1. Paracetamol for fever. 2. A course of antibiotics Azhithromycin for infection. 3. Syrup containing Ambroxyl, Phenylephrine and Chlorpheniramine maleate as decongestant, antihistaminic and mucolytic agent. 4. Steam inhalation to liquify and drain mucous from nasal sinuses. Avoid intake of cold items like icecreams and cool drinks. Hope the information provided would be helpful. Wish you speedy recovery and good health.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of headache, sweating along with feeling of cold and fever which seems to be due to viral infection to your body. It could be due to upper respiratory tract infection as well. I would suggest you to start with anti-inflammatory medication such as Levocetirizine. You should take Tylenol for fever as well. Do tepid sponging if fever is increasing. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined and get blood tests done. Start treatment after proper prescription and diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antiviral/ antibacterial medications. Avoid cold liquids. Sip on warm water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
