What Causes Headache While On Minocycline For Acne?
I m reading the info below ~ my 20 year old son has been on minocycline for acne for a couple of months and he is getting headaches and wants to stop taking this abx~ however, when he tried to wean off the scalp acne comes raging back. He has a history of eosinophilic esophagitis too, so I m trying to find a way to get him off the antibiotic.

Hi there. Stop the minocycline for the acne if its causing terrible headache. Try using topical erythromycin/ topical retinoid creams or sulphur soaps instead.If your still in doubt concerning his acne flare up, meet the same dermatologist who prescribed the Minocycline and mention your childs sidefeffects. I am sure he can suggest another effective oral medication for acne
