Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 21 years old. I have anger management issues. When I get very angry, I tend to hit myself mostly on my head.I don t hit myself too hard, but whenever I hit, it causes me a headache for a day or maximum two. I don t do it often. But whenever I do it, I have a headache till the following day and then I feel fine. I hit myself even yesterday, the pain hasn t gone yet. I am very worried that it s causing some problems internally and I m not aware of it. What i have been doing, is it dangerous to cause any problems to the brain or any other part? How can I be sure that I don t have any problems? What tests should I get doctor? Please help.
As per your history is concerned first I will advise you not to do it in future.secondly you have headache so lots of reasons is there for it.Make a full blood count with differential and get checked clinically for neuro deficit ,if any deficits present go for CT scan.Try to remove stress , because stress can give stress headache. Thanks
