What Causes Headaches Along With Fatigue And Diarrhea While Speaking?

My son is 24 and working in DC just got back from Europe and has seen a doctor for severe headaches, fatigue, diahhrea, and a cough that comes and goes when he is speaking. He was in the hospital last night for 7 hours they gave him IVs and sent him home this morning with a stonger antibiotic and motrin.. He is not a complainer at all. Im in NY and very concerned.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most likely suggestive that your son is having acute respiratory tract infection with secondary gut flora changes via antibiotics or else. Many antibiotics provoke hyper motility of gut as this case. Headache is due to underlying inflammation or pyrexia of low grade. Please do not get panic as this condition is absolutely curable with due precautions and medical management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
